FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. what is your design process?

I will typically start us off with a discovery call where I can properly introduce myself while also getting to know you, your business, your goals and the challenges you're looking to solve. Following our conversation, I'll send through a brand or website questionnaire to gain a deeper understanding of your vision, after which I'll prepare a tailored Project Proposal and Service Agreement for your review. Once everything is in place, I'll begin the research and creative exploration that shapes the project and informs every design decision moving forward. The entire process is collaborative, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to review the work, share feedback and refine things together along the way. Once everything has been reviewed, refined and approved, I'll package your final assets neatly and prepare everything for a smooth handover.

2. are you able to just design a logo for me?

A logo is only one part of a much bigger story. While it serves as the foundation of your visual identity, it isn't enough on its own to communicate your brand consistently and effectively. For this reason, I don't offer standalone logo design. Instead, I create complete visual identity systems that give your brand the tools it needs to grow with confidence. If you'd like to explore what that could look like for your business, I'd be delighted to put together a package tailored to your needs.

3. i already have branding. can we build on that?

I believe branding is at its strongest when every element works together as one cohesive system. For that reason, my preference is usually to build an identity from the ground up. That said, I understand that many businesses already have branding they're invested in. If that's the case, I'm always happy to review what you have and explore how we can build upon it in a way that feels intentional and cohesive.

4. how much is this going to cost?

Good design is an investment, and every project is different. Rather than offering fixed packages, I tailor each proposal to the scope of work involved. Following our discovery call and a review of your completed questionnaire, I'll prepare a Project Proposal and Service Agreement outlining the recommended scope, deliverables, timeline and project investment, so you have a clear understanding of what's included before we begin.

5. do you have a payment plan?

Yes. Most projects begin with a 50% upfront deposit to secure your booking and allow work to commence. The remaining balance is then divided into agreed milestones or settled prior to the final handover of your completed assets. For larger or longer-term projects, a tailored payment schedule will be outlined in your Project Proposal and Service Agreement.

6. are there any other additional costs i should know about?

While my design fee covers the creative work, there may be a few additional third-party costs depending on your project's requirements. These can include commercial font licences, website hosting, domain registration, Webflow subscription fees, premium plugins or integrations, stock photography, and any printing or manufacturing costs for packaging or printed materials. Should any of these be needed, I'll always talk you through them beforehand so there are no unexpected surprises along the way.

7. what is the turnover time for a project?

Every project is unique, so timelines will vary depending on the scope of work involved. As a general guide, the typical timeframes for each service can be found on the Services page. Once we've discussed your project and agreed on the scope, I'll provide a more detailed timeline outlining key milestones and delivery dates. Please note that project timelines may also be influenced by review times, project revisions and any external suppliers involved in the process.

8. what happens when i am not happy with the progress of a project?

My goal is to create work that you're genuinely excited about and that feels right for your brand. If at any stage you have concerns about the direction of the project or the pace at which it's progressing, please don't hesitate to reach out. I believe the best work comes from open and honest communication, so I'm always happy to jump on a call, talk things through and make sure we're moving forward together.

9. which formats will i receive my files in?

You'll receive all of the final files needed to use your brand confidently across both print and digital applications. This includes high-resolution raster formats (.PNG and .JPG), vector formats (.PDF, .SVG, .EPS and .AI), as well as any relevant source files created during the project. Everything will be neatly organised into an asset folder, accompanied by a short video walkthrough explaining the folder structure, the purpose of each file format and when to use them. Where applicable, this information will also be documented within your brand guidelines.

10. do you offer any add-on services?

Absolutely. While the services outlined on my website reflect the core of what I offer, every project is unique. If there's something specific you have in mind that falls outside of these services, I'd be more than happy to have a conversation and explore how we can bring it to life together.
